February 18, 2010 - The Debut of the Epic Poets

January 11, 2010 - Hibernation Yields Results.

Dylan has been hibernating for the winter: writing and recording new material; and finally learning how to play the guitar. As of this moment, Dylan has about 10 songs done, so you can expect a new low-fi LP by winter's end. We are happy to announce that Dylan will be touring in April on both the East and West Coast in support of the new record. Also, Dylan's song "Blood Like Fire" will be the subject of several local and national articles by rock critic Peter Gerstenzang. Stay tuned for more details. Finally, Dylan is working with a producer in Cairo, Egypt to record a song for the Middle East audience. The song incorporates several famous folk songs and puts a 21st Century edge on them.

September 25, 2009 - Two Shows, One Night

Dylan will be joining several other CT musicians on October 3rd for a concert sponsored by the Stratford Arts Guild. He will be playing a solo acoustic set of new songs. After strumming the last chord, he will be racing down to do a show with the full band at the Rivercat Grill in Rowayton. The band will be playing a rare show of mostly cover tunes from the 60s-90s.

June 29, 2009 - Two More shows in Damascus

Dylan leaves for the Middle East this week. He will be playing THREE big shows in Damascus. Should be very interesting - stay tuned for youtube footage of the events.

June 15, 2009 - Middle East Shows

Dylan has confirmed a July 10th Concert in Damascus, Syria at club Marmar. Marmar was featured in the 2007 New York Times article about the awesome nightlife in Damascus. Look out for youtube postings of the show. Before heading to the Middle East, Dylan will play a solo set at the kick off even for RevitalArts, an organization aimed at encouraging and fostering involvement in the arts for CT youths. May 6, 2009 - Weezer Tribute

Dylan's tribute to Weezer, the Almost Green Album, is now available on the music page. April 29, 2009 - Summer Tour in Middle East

Dylan is currently planning a Middle East tour in July. He will be playing solo dates in Syria, Jordan and possibly Lebanon. As details come, we will post them. Then in late July and August look out for summer festival dates on the East Coast.

March 22, 2009 - One More Show.

Thanks for making this weekend's show at Acoustic Cafe a great night. in the first set Dylan played some old M.Headphone tunes like "Fruit" , "Reality of the Moon", 'Boulder", 'No Misfires", and "Life is a Song". The band rocked a 2nd and 3rd set that culminated with "Like A Rolling Stone". Dylan and the band will play one more live show at NYC's Pianos on April 7th and then take a break until this summer when Dylan will tour in the Middle East. We hope to see at Pianos on April 7th.

The "Breakaway and Burn" tour is well underway. We have Boston, New Haven, Amherst, Shellburne Falls under our belts and are moving on to Philadelphia, Baltimore and New York City in the next three days. August 31, 2008 - News News News

Thanks to everyone who showed up for a fantastic night at the Living Room last weekend. The streets of Manhattan's Lower East Side were bustling, and the room was packed. A totally new Dylan Connor website will be up by the end of October. Dylan and the band are taking the month off from touring in order to get ready for the release of the new 11 song record.

July 30, 2008 - Important Change

The set time for Gathering of the Vibes has been changed from 1pm to 12pm.

July 19, 2008 - Studio and Website

Next week Dylan returns to the studio to put the finishing touches on the new record. Sessions will be at Trout Recording with Bryce Goggin. An entirely new website reflecting the new direction of Dylan's band is ready. Designed by Cameron Neilson, who has worked on graphic design and composites for films such as the Matrix and Speedracer, the site will launch sometime in October.

July 2, 2008 - Gathering of the Vibes

We are happy to announce that Dylan Connor will play this summer's Gathering of the Vibes festival. This year Phil Lesh and Friends and Black Crowes are headlining the 3 day festival by the sea. Dylan and his band are playing on the Solar Stage at 1pm on August 2nd, following the Caravan of Thieves.

June 5, 2008 - Pittsfield Show Rescheduled (and more)

The Pittsfield. MA. date originally scheduled for June 7th has been changed to July 26th. The band will enter the studio to finish the new record from July 22-25. Following the completion of the record, they will simply take over the world of Rock.

April 23, 2008 - New Record Well Underway

Trevor Coen, Drew McKeon, Merritt Jacob, Bryce Goggin, Adam Sachs, and Mark Mollica all worked hard for a week straight in Brooklyn's Trout Recording to lay down eight new songs. Each song is distinct in its production and lush with sonic flavorings. You can't wait to hear them. Coming to a stereo near you this summer!

April 1, 2008 - Press Here Publicity!

Press Here Publicity, the company with acts like the White Stripes, Lenny Kravitz, Bright Eyes, etc. is taking on the upcoming record for Dylan Connor. The record will officially be released in July along with a tour. Press Here will work on behalf of the band to garner national press exposure in interviews, reviews, radio, and T.V.

March 31, 2008 - Heading into the Studio

From April 14 - 18 Dylan and the band are heading into Trout Recording to record six new songs. The goal is to extend the EP from 2007 to a full length LP. A few of the songs are brand new, and a few are old gems that have never made onto a Dylan Connor record.

December 28, 2007 - last minute holiday jam

Dylan has put together a last minute holiday show for Saturday Dec. 29th. It will include members of his band and of Rolla. There will be piano, mandolin, guitars and voices. The set will feature old songs, brand new songs, Tom petty songs, Elvis Costello songs etc. Come on down to Las Vetas Lounge at 1462 Post Road Fairfield, CT, 06824 for the final show of 2007. All ages and free admission.

November 12, 2007 - San Francisco Mayhem

This weekend Dylan reunited with his former band M.Headphone at the Great American Music Hall - one of San Francisco's most beautiful and legendary venues. Dylan, along with Dod Andrew, Trevor Coen and Greg Thorne, played a short five song set - together for the first time in two years. Dylan also was joined on stage by Pistol Opera's Eli Braden, Lobos Riders' Zack Selwyn, Robert Downey Jr. and Indio Downey for a slew of classic cover tunes ranging from Duran Duran's "Ordinary World" to the Kinks' "You Really Got Me". Everyone had come together to celebrate the wedding of Dylan's brother Jim Angelus, who managed M.Headphone for a number of years, to Birgess Moore.

October 17, 2007 - Record Sales Soar

We have re-ordered Breakdowns and Hymns for a third time. Digital sales of the album from itunes are also strong. To support and promote the record Dylan is doing shows in CT, NYC, and MA. with his new band. The band includes Trevor "Stretch" Coen on bass, Merritt "Same Wall" Jacob on lead guitar, and Drew "Perv" Mckeon on drums. Look for tour details below.

October 4, 2007 - Fall Dates Announced

This Fall, Dylan hits the road in the Northeast with Trevor Coen on bass, Drew McKeon on drums, and Merritt Jacob Esq. on lead guitar. These will be hand wrapped, sweet smelling shows. The band is playing New Haven, Bridgeport, Hartford and Brooklyn between October and November. August 30, 2007 - Back from the Mid East

Dylan has touched back down on American soil after a couple of great shows in the Middle East. The first was at club Marmar in Damascus. Dylan played to 100 extremely enthusiastic listeners who cheered him on through two sets of songs from Plug In and Breakdowns and Hymns. The second show was at the sold out Blue Fig in Amman, Jordan, where Dylan and the crowd got to know each other over a two hour show in the outdoor cafe. There were reporters and photographers on and off stage during the show. When Dylan got off the stage, he went straight into and interview with Pulp magazine. Stay tuned for links to the article. Finally, fall shows in on the East Coast are in the works for NYC, Boston, DC and Baltimore. Keep an eye out for the dates below.

July 10, 2007 - California Love

California showed Dylan the love this week. A hundred people turned out to Hotel Utah in San Francisco to see Dylan, Pistol Opera, and the legend Neckmeat. Dylan played solo for the first half of the set and then Trevor Coen joined him on piano. They finished the set with "Blood Riddle" from the 1997 M.Headphone record the Apex BBQ. Fans were singing along from the balcony. In LA, Zachariah of the Lobos Riders joined Dylan on stage for his last song and rocked the crowd with one his finest free-styles to date. Later in the night, it was all about In and Out Burger.

July 2, 2007 - More Summer News

June 18, 2007 - Summer Update

Thanks to everyone who came out to the DC show this past weekend. The band played a tight set to an enthusiastic crowd on Saturday night. The following morning, the band awoke to Dylan wearing a Darth Vader costume and wielding a light saber. Sales of the new disc are strong. We are currently restocking the new record at CD Baby. This Tuesday night Dylan will start a weekly residency at Las Vetas Lounge in downtown Fairfield CT. As always there is no cover charge and it is all ages. The show starts around 8pm.

April 26, 2007 - We're Back

Dylan and the boys are back from a very successful trip to LA to begin promoting the new EP. On Thursday Dylan, Trevor and Drew rocked the Mint in front of a large and very enthusiastic LA crowd , which included several agents from the Agency Group, one of the largest booking agencies in the world. On Friday, Dylan met with Mark Friedman of Chrysalis music group to discuss possible TV and Film placements for the new material. Later, Dylan met with Larry Frazin of Across the Universe Management, who helped Dylan formulate a plan for this summer's tour schedule. Stay tuned for updates on when and where you can buy the EP. March 12, 2007 - Big News!!

Dylan has taken second place in a national songwriting contest held by American Songwriter Magazine. The lyrics of "Love's an Infection" are featured in the current issue of the esteemed industry rag. January 17, 2007 - The Milton Connection

Dylan, Milton and Lisa Bastoni packed the Acoustic Cafe to the hilt on Saturday Night. The crowd was pumped and the bands delivered killer sets. Milton had a big 2006 playing Irving Plaza and garnering lots of airplay on WFUV. He has invited Dylan to do a show at NYC's Living Room sometime in March. Details to come.

December 30, 2006 - New EP Update

Dylan, Trevor and Joe have resurfaced from Trout Recording with rough mixes of five songs that will constitute Dylan's 2007 yet to be titled EP. This is a power pop record featuring "What's New," "Don't Let Me Wash Away", "Before the Earth Was Round", "Silver Food" and "Soundwave Surfer". The recording sessions were intense, with basic tracking for the bass, guitar and drums done live. Brooklyn treated the boys well, as did Bryce Goggin's team at trout. The big upcoming show featuring Milton and Lisa Bastoni is on Jan. 13th at Acoustic Cafe in CT.

December 8, 2006 - Studio developments

The Almighty Bryce Goggin has selected five songs out of fourteen demos that Dylan sent to him for consideration. Bryce and Dylan agree that these five tunes will make the most cohesive EP possible. Which five songs? You will have to wait and see. Trevor Coen and Joe (Mesue) Izzo are warming up their bass and drums to back Dylan up on the tracks. This is so particularly cool because the three of them started playing together in eighth grade (When Dylan had braces, Joe had a Bono mullett and Trevor took a briefcase to school).

October 3, 2006 - New Album in the Works

Dylan has officially booked the studio time for his follow up to "Plug In". In the next couple of months, he will be selecting and fine tuning new songs under the guidance of Mike Viola. Then he will headiinto Bryce Goggin's Trout Recording in December to put it all down on tape. Pumped!

Show starts at 8pm sharp.

August 3, 2006 - Major Label Response

Columbia, Interscope, and American Records all have recently expressed interest in Dylan based on a compilation sent out by Bruce Solar of the Agency Group in LA. "Love's an Infection" was the consistent favorite. They all say they want to hear more... and they will.

July 31, 2006 - Thanks

A big thanks to everyone who made the Acoustic Cafe show Friday such a good time: fans, Mike Viola and the Tires. Although Mike's car broke down after the show, Dylan and Mike made the best of it by playing Buddy Holly and Everly Brothers tunes in Dylan's kitchen. Look out for Dylan's final NYC show of the summer, August 9th at Sin-e in the lower east side of Manhattan. After this, the tour moves into MA, MD and DC.

June 13, 2006 - Hello, Again!

Dylan is releasing a new six song EP on July 6th at Arlene's Grocery in NYC. The Truth Tastes Better contains four songs recorded on Dylan's beloved 424 Tascam 4-track and another two recorded with producer Michael Mugrage (Smokey Robinson, Chaka Kahn). The CD will only be available at live shows, several of which will reportedly be full-band, electric performances. In support of it's release, Dylan will be performing up and down the East Coast this summer in locations such as Bridgeport, New Haven, Boston, Northampton, Worcester, Philadelphia and Washington DC. We'll see you out there!
