| "Love's an Infection", the radio single from Plug In, was awarded second prize in a
national songwriting contest by American Songwriter Magazine. The Nashville based publication featured the
lyrics of the song in the March/April issue on sale at Borders. |
| In April, Dylan completed a new power-pop EP under the direction of Bryce Goggin. Dylan was honored to work
with the producer/engineer responsible for the sound on records by Pavement, Phish, Lemonheads, and the Ramones.
The EP, titled Breakdowns and Hymns, contains five tracks, one of which was co-written by Mike Viola (a prince).
Dylan played live in the studio with fellow players Merrit Jacob, Trevor Coen, and Joe Izzo to create a full
band, electric record, in contrast to the acoustic flavorings of 2004's Plug In. |
| Dylan currently flew to Los Angeles to meet with key industry players in an effort to garner publshing,
booking, and publicity support for the new record. Dylan and the band will hit CT, NYC, Washington DC, Boston,
San Francisco and Los Angeles on a summer tour from mid June through the end of July. |
